In some way, you are asking for a world in peace, suggesting everybody should just work together and everybody will be happy. Nothing new, and everybody is working hard to make everything 64bit compatible. Smart thought but Austin and all plugin developers know about this for a loooong time.

It is senseless to have a high end machine in 64 bit and not be able to use it in this mode. With the 64 bit machine getting more mainstream and xplane going to 64 bit I feel that this is a problem that many pilots are having and that more will have in the future. It is NOT an incompatability issue, XACARS is just NOT RELEASED yet for 64bit. Through the forum posts I did find out about the 64 bit incompatability issue. This is an easier install basically just dropping the unzipped folder into your plugins folder and then entering server info. I also tried Xpassenger which I downloaded from the. The only problem was that the "start acars" button was "greyed out:" and it wouldn't start. I entered the flight number itc001 and it correctly brought up the flight info. I installed per the instructions and got acars to pop up. There seems to be two workarounds for the windows platform.
