Manager took $50 off bill.but just really doesn't compensate for the ruined evening at all.Holler House, a tavern in Milwaukee, WI, has the oldest certified bowling alley in the United States.

not something I can get back.can't celebrate my daughter's birthday again. 21st birthday party ended on a real sour note.I was extremely disappointed.

but at 730 started asking about process to obtain the 3 lanes and was told they would let me know.ten past 8.asked again.was told they would take care and to wait a minute.830 manager tells me there was an issue and they only had me booked for two lanes.Ok.I'll take the two lanes at this point.wait another 20 minutes.with my family all asking what's happening.when are we bowling?.and he finally comes over and tells me there are no lanes available and we can't bowl! REALLY?!.Now I have two kids crying because they've been staring at others bowling for over two hours waiting for their turn. ordered a bunch of food for my party of 12.and drinks. told guests to arrive at 630.first they set us up at wrong area that was supposed to be for another party and asked us all to move.fine Reserved 3 lanes for 8-9:00.got there at 6 to make sure had tables. The night of party, all excited and kids couldn't wait to bowl. I stopped in a week before to check out place and confirm details. thought it would be great place to entertain all including the 4 children aged 8-.14. Ruined what should have been a special night! Called to reserve 3 lanes at least a month in advance for my daughter's 21st birthday. The fact that I was forced to figure things out on my own repeatedly though this process, thankfully I have extensive event planning experience, otherwise this could've been a disaster! Customer service is one of the most important avenues of a business and Jackie needs significant training when it comes to this. Then, upon the day of the event, she didn't check in with our group ONCE, we came in and left without a single interaction from anyone on staff! COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!īreaktime is a cool atmosphere for a unique outing, but if you're looking for an event space, dealing with Jackie would make this location a hard pass for me in the future.

When I brought that up to Jackie, she seemed to be inconvenienced by my request to wait the two days until our photo shoot was over stating "we have a deadline" to meet with the painting. Upon doing a walk through with our photographer a couple days later, Jacqueline, knowing the appointment time, didn't even have the courtesy GET UP FROM HER DESK to have a conversation with us or walk through the space with us! Further, when I did show the photographer the space, their maintenance person was painting the walls of the space we were renting and I had to direct him to postpone the process (we were renting the space because it was industrial and rustic with exposed brick - painting the walls a complete shift from the space we were "sold"!). She was unresponsive to our office throughout the planning process, to the point that I had to physically show up at the site to get any answers to our questions and to prompt a proposal from her. My firm rented this space for a photo shoot and the event manager, Jacqueline, was absolutely horrible to deal with.
